I currently work as an associate at a civil litigation boutique in Vancouver and offer legal design consulting services part-time.
I was born in Toronto, Ontario. Before joining the legal profession, I obtained my Masters of Design (M.Des) in Strategic Foresight & Innovation and worked downtown Toronto for various digital development firms, both in a strategic foresight and human-centred design capacity. By 2016, I was consulting in the financial services sector in design and foresight strategy.
In 2020, I completed my Juris Doctor (JD) at the University of Victoria in British Columbia. I have a special interest in civil litigation, particularly in the areas of bioethics, human rights, commercial litigation, employment and health law. I am also interested in criminal law, specifically sexual assault, appeals, and special prosecutions. In summer 2019, I spent four months working at the Embassy of Canada to the Netherlands under Her Excellency Ambassador Sabine Nölke.
I volunteered for Probono Students Canada (PBSC) on access to justice issues for two years, and I also worked for the Access to Justice Centre for Excellence (ACE) at UVic. I serve on the Board of Directors for the Vancouver Island Human Rights Coalition (VIHRC). I am also a trained Gladue report writer.
Before articling, I worked remotely for the Government of Alberta’s Digital Innovation Office, working on their Justice Digital initiative focused on modernizing the court system.
